Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update personnel records in line with the HR guidelines;
- Handle proper staff leave management and ensure a timely leave utilization is in place;
- Ensure staff insurance, pension and other requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner;
- Oversees and coordinates all HR administration tasks including hiring, conducting background and reference checks, contracting, and terminating;
- Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employment compliance;
- Handle vacancies announcements and follow up on the timely collection of applications;
- Shortlist and screen applications as per the requirement set for the position;
- In collaboration with the HR manager, manage interviews and written exams;
- Ensures staff recruitment, induction, development, appraisal, and performance management are in line with the labour law;
- Maintain up-to-date human resources information system (HRIS) by tracking and reporting on employee data such as performance evaluation, promotion, warnings, sick leaves, vacations, absenteeism and other relevant information;
- Ensuring strict confidentiality is in place when handling sensitive employee issues;
- Coordinates activities such as special events, meetings, travel, training, and staff gathering/retreat;
- Make sure the employee handbook is kept up to date and make the necessary if made on time when new policies and procedures come into effect;
- Build alliances and partnerships with clients and other partner organizations;
- Perform other duties assigned and delegated by the line manager.
Requirements
Academic qualification
- Degree in Human Resource, Management, Project Management or related fields
Additional qualifications
- Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking
- Excellent inter and Intra-personal communication skills
- Well-organized, Self-motivated and result-oriented
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Remarkable knowledge of Ethiopian Labour Law
Years of experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Management and related business field
Salary: Negotiable and attractive
