The Luminos Fund, an international non-profit bringing education opportunities to the world’s most vulnerable children, seeks a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator to join its Ethiopia country team. Key responsibilities of this role include cleaning and analyzing program data, overseeing key data management processes across the country team, developing project M&E plans, and coordinating with external evaluation partners. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills and be fueled by a passionate belief that success lies in the details. Experience with data collection and analysis, and across the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies are essential. Work in education program evaluation is preferred. This full-time position, reporting to the Ethiopia Country Director, will be based in Addis Ababa and will require extensive travel within Ethiopia, and occasional travel internationally. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Data Management and Analysis Drive smooth data collection and ensure data integrity across projects. Provide capacity building and technical support to the Luminos Ethiopia country team and partners to strengthen M&E skills. Refine existing data management practices and institute new processes to facilitate the collection of relevant, timely, and accurate program data. Execute data cleaning and processing using a variety of approaches, from reviewing data manually to building tools for automated data quality assurance. Maintain the Ethiopia data dashboard to support effective and transparent program management with staff and partners, as well as donor reporting. Analyze data against other international standards to identify areas of improvement and refinement. Monitoring and Evaluation Develop project monitoring and evaluation plans, including the theories of change, selection and measurement of key indicators, data collection and management processes, and reporting procedures. Track data management milestones, identify priorities, and create and execute implementation plans to deliver against project and Ethiopia country program goals. Analyze program data and prepare technical reports as needed by the Ethiopia country team. In coordination with the Communications Team, extract impact narratives from the data which are of interest to governments and funding partners. Provide input into the design and implementation of external evaluations, such as EGRA/EGMA and randomized controlled trials, including coordinating consultants and drafting scopes of work. Ensure lessons learned are integrated into the projects and shared with relevant stakeholders across Luminos. Track best practices in monitoring and evaluation and provide recommendations to the Ethiopia country team.

Educational Requirements: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. At least one degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant work experience with increasing levels of responsibility in cross-cultural contexts.
