Job Description
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance of Director of Human Resources, assists and supports management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues. Responds to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines. Assists associates with internal and external transfer requests and procedures. Monitors and assists managers/supervisors with hiring processes and related issues. Coordinates and conducts applicant’s reference checks, background checks, and social security number verification. Creates and maintains new hire and personnel files and enter them into Human Resources Information Systems. Assists with orientation of new employees. Monitors all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all federal laws and company policies and standards. Ensures accurate maintenance of all associate records and files. Supports processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures, as necessary. Informs Human Resources Management of issues related to associates relations within the division or property. Generates Human Resources data reports as required. Creates and writes office correspondence; carry out Amharic articles translation to English and vice versa. Serves as Human Resources subject matter expert and participates on project teams. Trains new hires on Human Resources processes, programs, policies, information systems, etc.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications. Applicants without the below listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Management is required. Professional certifications in the field are an asset.
EXPERIENCE: Four years of relevant work experience with sound knowledge human resources practices and excellent interpersonal skills is required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Excellent Working Knowledge of English language is required. Other language ability will be advantageous.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: Certificate of computer literacy is desired.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Strong knowledge of human resources practices,
Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities,
Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
Good computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software,
