Purpose of the job
Contributes to the development of the brand plans, under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, and implements the brand plans and budgets to obtain brand objectives.
Contributes to the analysis of external and internal environment as input for the development of brand strategy.
Stays connected with consumers and contributes to the development of consumer insights.
2. Planning / Targeting / Forecasting Operational Plan & Activity planning for the operation.
Develop the marketing plan for the assigned brands under the supervision of the line Manager, in terms of all marketing mix elements (communication, pricing, promotions, product and packaging).
Plans the implementation of designated marketing activities included in the marketing brand plan, on a monthly basis.
Contributes to the development of the annual brand marketing budget and updates the plans on monthly and quarterly basis, based on the assignment of the Line Manager.
Directly accountable for implementation of marketing plans and activities.
Implements the plans & activities from the yearly marketing plan, based on the assignment of the Line Manager.
Adapts and reacts to the changes in the environment which affects the implementation of plans and activities such that the objectives set will be reached.
Ensures that the marketing budget execution on specific activities is in accordance with the plan.
Coordinates the business relationship with different third-party suppliers: advertising agencies, etc.
Develops the art works for visibility materials by managing different third-party agencies.
Gives feedback to Trade Marketing and Sales, from consumer perspective, on the activities implemented.
Updates and follows up the marketing expenses on specific activities and marketing budget, based on the assignment of the Line Manager, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Monitors, reports and post evaluate the activities and plans implemented and competitive activities.
Post evaluates all marketing activities implemented.
Monitors the execution of promotional activities, sales force execution at the POS, etc. via specific monthly monitoring formats.
Analyze sales performance and brand KPIs performance against targets and LY results on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
Monitors the competitive activities on all marketing mix elements (communication in mass media, promotions, pricing) and reports on a monthly or ad hoc basis.
Economics/Marketing/Management/Business Administration Degree and above
3 – 5 years’ experience in the commercial field (Sales/Marketing/ Trade Marketing) in Water & Beverage Company / an FMCG environment is advantageous.
Both Amharic and English
Outstanding communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns.
Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix.
