Job Summary:
The Regional Director will be responsible for managing the implementation of the project at a regional level, including managing teams and collaborating with the head quarter team to facilitate effective implementation of projects. The Regional Director will be based in Dire Dawa and will be required to travel frequently to the selected wooreda’s and Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will have a minimum educational requirement of Msc. in Management, Public Health or any other relevant field of study.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the regional team to ensure the successful implementation of the project in the assigned region.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and local communities to ensure the effective delivery of the project.
Develop and implement project work plans, including timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
Collaborate with the head quarter team to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives with the overall work plan.
Ensure compliance with project policies and procedures, as well as donor requirements and regulations.
Identify and address project implementation challenges, and provide timely updates to the head quarter team on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
Monitor and evaluate project performance, and provide regular reports to the head quarter team on project outcomes and impact.
Build the capacity of the regional team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
Support the development and implementation of advocacy and communication strategies to promote the project and its impact.
Represent the organization at regional forums, conferences, and meetings as required.
People & Partnership Management
Lead and manage the regional team, providing guidance, support, coaching, and mentoring as needed.
Build the capacity of the team through training and development.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including those related to human resources management.
Manage different partnerships as per the guidelines and necessary protocols that includes running & attending partnership meetings, reporting to relevant partners about project updates, keeping the partnership smooth by engaging and interacting with relevant personnel.
Process Management
Develop and implement project work plans, including timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
Identify and address project implementation challenges, and provide timely updates to the headquarters team on project progress, risks, and opportunities.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
MSc/BSc Degree and above in agriculture, natural resource management, public health, food security and livelihood, and related field with 7 years’ relevant experience for MSc or 10 years’ relevant experience for BSc degree of which 4 years in managerial post.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with partners, stakeholders, and local communities.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
Demonstrated ability to write high quality technical proposals and reports
Experience in project planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation aspects.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address project implementation challenges.
Knowledge of donor regulations and requirements, and experience in compliance and reporting.
Willingness to travel frequently to the wooreda’s, and to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Fluency in English, Amharic and Oromiffa, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Excellent computer utilization skills.
