Overall Responsibilities
To ensure effective utilization of Grant project funds according to CHILDEREN BELIEVE FUND policies and procedures and donor guidelines. Under the supervision of Finance Manager, the Accountant support various aspects of the accounting team’s activities including: Record Keeping, Documentation, assist staff across the organization in understanding the organization’s accounting processes and systems.
The position holder will be assigned maximum of Five months.
Specifics Responsibilities
Process Country office weekly payment processing to external vendors
Prepare and issue payments for external parties and Keep Records and Documentation.
Clerical finance activity including Scanning, copying
Monitor and clear all Advance received by Staff.
Timely remind advance holders for any outstanding balances to be cleared,
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation of assigned account.
Prepare Journal Entries.
Manage payable accounts.
Monitoring and adjusting entries for accrual and collection of fund transfer.
Facilitate activity transfer payments for staff and personal advance requests.
Ensure all Liability paid on time including Income tax, Provident fund withholding tax.
Insure adherence to internal control requirements.
Seek way to improve timeliness and quality of service providers by finance and assist in systems improvement
Terms of Employment: Maximum of Five months (Limited)
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Minimum of 1 years and above of relevant experience in the area of Finance.
Experience dealing with complex budgets.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Computer literacy, including facility with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office application
Experience in accounting software
Ability to develop and implement solutions independently
Excellent understanding of systems and procedures for grant management
